祇園祭☆前祭山鉾建 Gion Matsuri

７月１０日から１４日は、祇園祭の前祭にあたり、いよいよ各鉾町が鉾、曳山を組み立てます。

7月10日長刀鉾、函谷鉾、鶏鉾、菊水鉾、月鉾
7月11日放下鉾、船鉾、岩戸山
7月12日保昌山、山伏山、芦刈山
7月13日占出山、霰天神山、郭巨山、伯牙山、油天神山、木賊山、太子山、白楽天山、綾傘鉾、蟷螂山
7月14日四条傘鉾、孟宗山

この順番で、鉾が作られていくんだそうですよ！

昭和41(1966)年に合同化されてからおよそ50年ぶりに、山鉾巡行の「前祭」(7月17日)「後祭」(7月24日)が昨年から復活したため、後祭で建てられるものももちろんあります。

京都のお友達が、写真を送ってくれました。これは、函谷鉾ですね。
私が初めて祇園祭で鉾というものに乗ったのが、この函谷鉾でした！
それがこの時～。何年前だろう、これ。。。

ん～～！衿が詰まりすぎ！笑

鉾の組み建ては祇園祭のたびに組み建てられ、釘などは一切使わず、はめ込みと縄で組み建てていくそうです！

京都の町は、いよいよ祇園祭の雰囲気にどっぷり変身ですね～！

Gion Matsuri is one of Japan’s three largest festivals and the best highlight of the festival is the YamaHoko Junko grand procession. 29 yamahokos out of 33 are designated as the important intangible cultural properties. People compete to decorate the float with beautiful tapestry, carpet and fabrics.
It’s just started to build Yamahokos at several places in central Kyoto and the picture is the second largest yamahoko Kankoku-boko.
